Installation Instructions for the

AGS Low-Cost Lubricator

Follow these 4 simple steps for trouble-free AGS Low-Cost Lubrication operation.

  1. Screw in the starter cap by hand. (You will hear the seals break while doing this.) Use a screw driver or similar tool to tighten firmly (picture left).

  2. Record change-over date.

  3. Pre-grease bearing before first installation.

  4. Install AGS Low-Cost Lubricator hand tight into grease point.

 

Do NOT remove the AGS Low-Cost Lubricator until the change-over date!

  • AGS Low-Cost Lubricator is designed to operate at an average environmental temperature of 77ºF (25ºC). Refer to Technical Tips for information about using the AGS Low-Cost Lubricator at different temperatures. Allow 8-40 hours for operation to begin, depending on the Low-Cost Lubricator type.

  • If the AGS Low-Cost Lubricator is to be installed with extension hoses, use a minimum 8 mm D tubing. The maximum recommended length is 5 feet (1.5 meters).

  • Do not screw the starter cap into the AGS Low-Cost Lubricator until ready to activate the unit.

  • Wear protective gloves when activating the AGS Low-Cost Lubricator.

  • Dispose of used unit in the industrial waste bin.

COLOR CODES: The color of the activator in the base of the AGS Low-Cost Lubricator and the starter cap must match. These indicate the type of unit being used.
