ICL began in 1992 as a small concern in Honolulu, Hawaii. Its formation was driven by the wish to provide industry with a product that improved efficiency, reduced costs, and helped the environment. This initial product was petrochemical in nature -- a line of industrial fuel treatment additives that allowed high volume users of industrial fuels to increase their performance, decrease emissions, and realize saving from reduced fuel consumption and lower maintenance expenses.
Over the yeas the demand for efficiency plus economy extended beyond gasoline and diesel fuel treatment. Additives for lubricating oils and greases were developed. The next logical step was to find ways that grease and oil could be applied in an easy yet efficient manner.
To do this, a partnership was formed with a company in Europe called ALS Schmiertechnik. Through this collaborative effort, a line of automatic grease and oil dispensers was developed which covers all lubrication applications. Years of testing and improvement have resulting in a pallet of products that are the safest, most reliable, and most affordable on the market.
In 1996, ICL expanded into Canada. It continued to have success with the heavy fuel treatments, servicing the marine shipping industry as well as pulp and paper, power, etc. And as in Hawaii, clients were also requesting assistance with cutting costs and improving efficiency. The self-contained lubricators were the answer. Satisfied clients include the cement industry, power plants, refineries, and others. They are used on conveyer belts, in the marine industry, on heavy off-road and on-road equipment, and everywhere that involved continuous movement.
Most recently an office has been opened in the USA. Although it has grown and expanded since its beginning, ICL continues to offer products that are forerunners in the area of environmentally sensitive solutions to problems facing heavy industry. And because it maintains a lean profile with few overheads, it is able to offer the most competitive prices on the market.
